I recently made an appointment with a booker I knew from the past, drove about 35 minutes, parked and got instructions to go into the building, up the stairs to the apartment, knocked and waited.....knocked and waited...waited some more, then went back to the stairwell, called the booker who said to try again, check for a key under the mat, which I did (stupid). No key, no answer. Finally realized that in this open court apartment building I was very conspicuous, so I did the walk of shame back to the stairwell and high-tailed it out of there. Booker texted me that the provider probably fell asleep (?), apologized, didn't offer anything. Drove the 40 minutes back home, frustrated. Saw another provider of hers a few weeks later, was so-so, so that's it. Some gesture on the booker's part would've been nice.
Cancellation 3 hours before appointment...
I was only halfway to LA from OC - Ha!
Any reasons given? Did she offer to make it up to you? A lot of variables to be answered here before a final judgment is made.
The only problem was when we arranged the date she was going to get the hotel room and I was going to reimburse her, after she cancelled I offered to giver her the hotel fee and take over the reservation (around $600 @ a hotel I know very well). I know lot's of girls in the area and was already on my way. Then she confessed she never made the reservation. Also I already had more money invested than most girls charge for a multi-hour date.
The only judgement to be made here is that I made a poor decision because my little head got way out in front of my big head (Imagine That - Ha!!) IMO - she is arguably the hottest chick on this site - just flakey!
Is 3 hours notice considered last minute cancellation?
It depends on how far you are driving, communication before and how much you have invested in "the date"
giving her a chance to explain. Especially if he has a good overall reputation. Yes, there are a lot of flakes out there that pull stuff like this. But it is best not to jump to conclusions. Something serious could have also happened. Check out my review of Bianka Lee for a good example. I won't go into more detail than in the review, but if the same thing had happened to me I would also not though to give more notice and totally spaced on the appointment.
Often when providers say they will "make it up" they don't really. But Bianka did everything she could to make it right. So give her a chance. Sure it is possible something better came up for her to do, but also shit happens.
It depends on when you ingested the boner pills. Generally if you are able to steer your car without using your hands, it is probably last minute. Shit happens.

...with a rather lame excuse as I recall. But I gave her the benefit of the doubt and rescheduled for the following week and all went well.
Working with the booker I ended up having to cancel about 10 minuets after the appointment once. Could not find a single parking place in the complex and no public parking on the streets within less than about a mile.
Love the booker though because she rescheduled for the first thing the next morning and told me she'd make sure the girl was extra nice to me. In return I showed up with her favorite latte and some breakfast pastries.
Ended up a great event!

I'm actually not this fussy and despite the fact that all the warning signs were there and I chose to ignore them - Given the chance I would make another effort to hit that (probably by ignoring the warning signs AGAIN). SHE'S THAT HOT!
By simply being herself in the rack at full-price she would more than make it up to me - Ha!

man if i was a younger man i'd have been devastated! luckily i just called another provider and had fun...
We all roll a little differently and thus "last minute" should be defined differently.
Off the top of my head, it would be related to what you have invested in the date at the time of cancellation.
That investment is related to risk/reward and your tolerance for losing your time and money.
On this particular occasion I had invested pretty heavily but I knew what I was getting into and I am sure I
would over the moon right now if it had worked out.
I am enroute and they cancel, just like you were. I always let them know if I am driving more than one hour and tell them to please let me know before I leave if they have to cancel. I have had many same-day cancellations with providers who started her monthly magic. Its mother nature. What are you going to do? Its nobody's fault.
I made the three-hour drive to LA from OC once this last week for a session. Its a killer, for sure. I would never do it to see a new provider for the first time, only for a repeat.
I can't believe you were coming to LA from the OC. I find myself wishing I lived in the OC for more than just the surf.
