...as far as people questioning any visitors to your room, that's not a worry- it's not gonna happen Hotel employees don't give a crap what we do once we book a room. No one will give you a second look.

Parking and general ease of getting around is better at a hotel, too.

Hi all!

Someone had posted a similar question on this board, but I feel my question is different enough that it warrants its own thread. On that previous thread, it was a provider asking about hotels vs. airbnb; this time around it's as a client.

I plan on being in LA this summer and have started making arrangements for various providers. All bookings will be for outcall. I'm now trying to figure out airbnb vs. hotel for where I'll be arranging to meet my friends. Normally, this would be a no-brainer and I'd go with a hotel; but I have my concerns. I'm only in LA for a little while and I plan for very high traffic. I, by nature, am paranoid; so I worry that if I stay at a hotel there may be questions as to why so many people are coming in and out of my room. Another thing I worry about is general sound levels; which wouldn't be a problem if I'm booking an entire place to myself on Airbnb.

Can anyone please provide some guidance on this issue? If privacy is the key concern, would you recommend a hotel room or airbnb? Also, are there any reasons why one wouldn't book airbnb (which is what I'm leaning towards).

Thanks in advance!

I would recommend airbnb ONLY if you plan to rent a house or unsecured condominium. From my past experiences with airbnb and condos/apartments guest typically need to be signed in, plus parking is a hassle.

There will be much more distance between neighbors in a private residence opposed to a hotel, so I assume that would ease your mind. Although I have never been questioned why I have traffic to my hotel room is it very easily to avoid by choosing the right hotel

Airbnb have hidden security cameras more often lately.

if I ever considered airbnb-ing my apartment while traveling, I've now decided..hell no.

Even as a provider I wouldn't want escorts letting people in and out of my space, possibly creating issues (since I doubt that person is going to say "Im a provider!" and for me to see if they are responsible, as such..

And even worse for what if a hobbist rents my space and I have no idea what type of providers they are having over?

So, to easily answer your own question ask yourself if you were putting your own space on air bnb would you be 100% cool and comfortable with what you plan to do there..

also agreed with parking issues, one airbnb I stayed at in ATL was a gated condo situation, you would really need to scope out those scenarios.  with hotels, the only issue you might have is fiding out if there is a key card for the elevator or not..

try kinkbnb its a new site for providers seeking incalls.
