Too funny.  I go to Westwood too.  Best gym ever.  Also, best Equinox I have been in.  I have an all access pass.  Westwood is the best one by a mile!

Equinox is amazing.  I go to the one in westwood.  They are pricey, but you get what you pay for.  Lots of classes, every machine and free weights you could want, and you rarely have to wait to use equipment.

I know a number of people here either live or work in the BH/WH area, and I was wondering if any of you had a recommendation of a not-ridiculously-expensive place for a decent midday workout. Parking is an issue, obviously, as is traffic (think Wilshire & LaCienega for starting point), but I also don't want to dump more than a session on a monthly fee. I'm looking for cardio & weights, maybe a class or two. Doesn't need to be fancy, just affordable and clean..

I know there's an LA Fitness on Wilshire & Doheny, but the reviews aren't the best...

I go to Equinox.  Expensive, but well worth it, by a mile.  LA gyms that are cheap get crazy busy.  I have been going to Equinox for almost two years and it is the best.  I wouldn't go if it was a typical gym.

There is a  24hr fitness's in that area. One is ktown (wilshire)

What they say about their membership fees:

"The Courtyard Club prides itself on its integrity in pricing, and has set its membership dues at an affordable, mid-price point. This allows us to support the club with a monitored, limited membership base. What this means for you, our member, is no waiting, no lines, and no over crowding. It also means that you won’t have to break the bank for quality options and amenities."
