I don't think it is suspicious...

Especially newer providers may be looking for a particular type. I always love when I can get a picture of who I'm dealing with, but I've never asked for one directly. It could also be a way of additional screening by google image search or something. I wouldn't raise suspicion unless there were a few other reasons to feel like it was shady.

I recently set up an appointment with a provider.   She only has a small number of reviews on here, but they are all good.  She texted a pic, which matched the ones on her webpage, and asked me to sent my pic back.   Which I did.  Is such a request unusual or suspicious?

I'm sure providers have their standards too. Happily she didn't think I was butt-ugly or anything and went ahead and scheduled me.    I still wonder why she wanted my picture.  Is that a subtle way to screen out certain ethnicities I wonder?   Or there a database of bad hobbiests that includes pictures?

What do you folks think?

Neither.  Her face did match the pics on her webpages, though it was a different pic.  Another oddity is that all the pics show her as a brunette, reviewers describer as a blonde, profile says brunette.  No one has described the carpet

....but I can understand why, since my situation is pretty rare.
If I do send one, it is s body shot only- no head/face.

In my situation, I like to meet the ladies in the bar of my hotel, so my guess is that it helps them locate me. Looking for my date, I walked behind a young lady, she was glancing at her phone. I looked over her shoulder and I saw my picture on her phone...so I located her.

From my experience I was asked for a photo from a lady to be sent first.  I obliged since I wanted to see her.

Some ladies ask for work verification, some ask for references, while some others want you to be independently verified by another site or a whitelist.

It may be for their own safety, own personal collection, she has a stalker, seeing if you and her run in a smaller circle than you realized ....

Pick a reason.

That is my take of requests for a photo.

Hi There

Booking I confirm a booking I always ask my darling to take a pic. I need to protect myself.

Cheers Alley

Be careful, girl gets pissed at you, she already has your email, your board name, probably your phone number, now she has your picture.  She can do a lot of damage if she wanted to.

Which is why M&G is an alternative place to meet gents and dolls without sending a self portrait.

There have been few instances when I have asked for a photograph..

1)  When a gentleman is a total newbie and I conduct extra screening; this makes ME more comfortable.

2)  When the gentleman is a new client AND we plan on meeting in public (e.g., a hotel lounge); this enables me to easily identify him and greet him as if we're already great friends, which makes HIM and I both more comfortable.

I get it, I really do.  I want you safe more than you realize.  But I've had the pleasure and privilege of meeting a lot of ladies and only one has ever asked me for my picture, and that was an hour before our appointment.  Now, if I had the opportunity to me a lady as lovely as you, I would most definitely notice you in the bar, hotel, Kmart parking lot or where ever you wanted to meet me.  And you in turn would notice me, I'd be the guy in the corner, peeing on himself, sweating heavily because I'm thinking, she's coming to see me.  My god, I'm so lucky.  Of course the plaid shorts might also be a give away.

Just saying..................

is when a gent is easily 'google-able' with existing pics on the internet but no references and prefers no employment verification that involves me calling- then I will ask for a pic with a 'Hi, Harlowe' sign or something so I can match the face in the email with the one on the web. Other than that, I would never ask. I also don't really care what my lovers look like; I have no age preferences and don't discriminate based on any other factors. Handsome is nice but gentlemanly is far better.
