Only players to get in Hall of Fame.  All the steroid boys slipped in  votes % and in danger of missing the ballot in the future. Palmero is now off the ballot even with 500 home runs and 3000 hits

he problem is that we have a bunch of baseball writers (by the way, are there really any true old school "baseball writers" even left?) who just make conjectures and innuendos to satisfy their own belief. There is no evidence linking Mike Piazza to PED's, but he played in the steroid era, he wasn't always the most well liked guy,  and his body looks big and strong, so let's not vote for him. I have no idea if he used or didn't. Same can be said for Jeff Bagwell. Conversely, Frank Thomas was really a likeable guy, who has been adamant against PED's (he was supportive of the Mitchell investigation), so let's vote for him. I have no idea if he used or didn't. There is just no consistency in their evaluation. Are you telling me that Roger Clemens is the only big time, hall of fame level pitcher, that we suspect used PED's? I doubt it.

But the biggest farce in the whole process is that baseball looked the other way when all the home run records fell. They built up Sosa and Big Mac and Bonds. As the commercial said "Chicks dig the long ball". These guys were bringing in millions upon millions of dollars to the owners. There were no penalties for using PED's. Now, when the public outcry became to much, these "alleged" (and most of them did not fail a drug test) PED users were punished by the same sport that put them on a pedestal. It's a sham.
