any of us can get exposed at any time when we submit our information to any of these verification sites. I personally don't do this anymore. I realize that it means there are many providers who won't see me, but there are several who are able to verify through other providers/whitelisting, that does not involve the disclosure of identifying information.

Each of us has our own comfort level regarding the types and extent of risks we are willing to take.

Yes, big news in the UK.

It seems the reason they were hacked was because they were charging a £15 fee for you to have ALL your details deleted from their files when you removed your profile.

The hacker is stating that this is not the case, and that Ashley Madison still hold your credit card details and real name on their system.

The owners of the site gave a full interview that was in our national newspaper yesterday.

The difference in facial expressions between the couple is odd

Anything is possible. If you use your neighbors' WiFi then your risk is diminished by some degree. I have not "purchased" VIP membership for a loooooooong time.

So if you wrote to me, do not expect an
immediate reply. I had a two messages
languishing for a "bit" until I wrote another
    "tale".

I am quite confident the owners of this site have taken a bit more caution in keeping CC information in stricter access

Ouch! You mean my 10 mistresses will find out who I'm dating, between providers? :)

Ashley Madison is such a well known, nationwide controversy. Most of the platforms for our purposes are mostly regional or slightly under the radar. A site that is even nationwide such as this is not as well known by mainstream society.

Theoretically, yes this could happen. However, I think that the chances of someone in this realm being victim to that type of violation is far lower than a personal slip-up.

The best thing you can do is be careful and involve yourself only with reputable sites and providers. :)
