One-rob you know we can't bear to lose this one. Talent is about equal but UCLA has more height. On the other hand, UCLA doesn't play hard. Duke plays hard but not always well particularly on defense. If UCLA drives to the basket DUKE is in trouble-if they try to jack up 3 pointers, Duke will win.

Both of my Vegas sources are taking UCLA +5 on the spread, but I think they're both wrong.
My personal opinion is Duke will win outright... with that said this game is a toss-up and you should bet on this game

As for me, I don't claim the slightest expertise in College Hoops, and I rarely make more than a few casual bets until well into Janurary or even February.
BTW the fact that the game is at a neutral site makes the spread make a lot more sense, I would have thought that Duke would have been favored by more than 5 on their home court, -5 on a neutral site makes a lot more sense to me.

Not knowing UCLA that well... I can't really make a case for the line either way. Neutral site makes the game a toss up in my opinon, but Duke has a huge coaching advantage with Mike Krzyzewski
When you make a statement like "win outright" that usually refers to an underdog that not only covers the spread but actually wins the game "outright" to boot. The usual way to say a favorite is going to win and cover is to simply say "I like Duke to cover" the fact that you like them to actually win the game is taken as a given.

They were constantly flat footed on defense. They didn't block out on rebounds. I would have pulled Anderson in the 2nd half due to turnovers. He is not a PG. Can you tell I was frustrated.

I do like Modelo, and believe it or not I like Tecate as well. There are several Asian beers that I like, Asahi being one of them, and I drink a host of Latin and South American beers that I drink while "in country"
