Plus since many provider contact phone #s are listed on their website, if your S/O or employer does a google search of that the provider's number (from your cell phone log), it may lead them to the website and in the words of Ricky Ricardo, Lucy "you have some 'splainin to do!"
If you are RS2k, be sure to register the hobby phone number with them. Unless your number matches with the # they have on file, the provider may not agree to see you!

A lot of providers use a 2 call system to get to where they are. You call the day of the appointment to get a general area and then again when you get to that general area to get specific address. Some guys are uncomfortable using their business or personal phone for those calls because you have to unblock them. Providers don't like blocked calls and will usually ignore them.
Getting a "hobby phone" minimizes the risk to the client of a provider calling at the wrong time or getting his personal phone number.
