I know many other places in the states are starting to require them and have been for the past 6 months. I'm not sure which gc's specifically you are referring too but steer clear of green dot their the first ones that will require ID. Get a Vanilla Visa or MasterCard gc. Personally, when I need to require a deposit for booking I have them send me an Amazon gc straight to my email so they don't even have to go to the store.

Be careful when buying Vanilla Visa's or MC pp get confused and end up with a prepaid debit card and that's not what you want.

Hope that helps. If you need further assistance feel free to PM or email.

I would like to continue to buy gift card without showing my ID to the store clerk. Does anyone know if it's still possible in LA?

I tried to buy Vanilla Visa at CVS with cash and they asked for ID. Instead of trying each retail outlet, I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction.

Ralph's, Vons, Food4less..Bought two last wk. Only time I have been asked for anything was at 7-11 and they wouldn't take cash to buy it so I left. I use to get them at CVS but they could have changed their policies. They may be going in the future but I've had no issue in LA buying at the grocery stores. I've had a few friends have trouble getting them to work but their on the other side of the Mississippi River.

It could just be cvs is changing their policies since they're also no longer selling cigarettes...ya know trying to appear respectable when prescription pills kill more Americans than anything else. smh

Yes, it's their new policy at CVS. I had no problem in the past. I'll try Ralph and hope their policy hasn't changed.

Are available now a days and easily sent and or delivered to said recipient electronically.    There are ways to also do this and remain discreet.

I noticed they tend not to card when the amount Is less than $80-$100

I was able to buy Am Exp gift card at Ralph with cash and I was not carded. All Visa Vanilla gift cards are gone from the display shelf at Ralph. I don't know what it means. It may be more Visa issue rather than CVS issue.

The Vanilla ones are always sold out at 7-11, Rite Aid,ralphs, and Vons. Very popular card.
