Florida St is favored bye 57 pts over Idaho lol.
I have half-a-mind(yeah I know.......too easy)to put some coin on Idaho just on principle.

YEP..Oregon was favored by 61 points over Nicholls State in the first week..they won 66-3..i still cannot believe i covered that spread..

I would have bet it, but there was no O/U on the game and I rarely make straight bet on this type of potential (expected) blow outs.
The hardest part about those type of bets is finding a bookie who will accept that type of action. I have gone through at least a dozen who will no longer take my action, the last one just last week. lol

I almost always wait until the hour before gametime to place my bets. Unless of course I am trying to arbitrage the bettting lines with multiple books, but that's like having a job, and betting sports is supposed to be fun.

very true..i had big bucks on the early line with the Packers..Rodgers breaks his collarbone..i knew i had a sure loser then..
It didn't save me either, I also had a bundle on Green Bay.
but sometimes there is news that happens during the week that can move the spread several points up or down depending on who the news affects and how. Things like several star players being benched for conduct is just one that comes to mind.
Everytime a newsbreak, about this story, comes to light.........its always states that charges won't be forthcoming until "next" week at the earliest lol
