Graydon is right. If you can't afford 20 bucks for a month of VIP, how can you afford to hobby? TER is running a bonus time special right now for getting VIP. Cough it up and research for a month. That should get you enough info.
Generally, well-reviewed means multiple pages of reviews with reviews from hobbyists that have reviewed several girls. You don't need VIP to check out how many reviews a girl has or how many reviews a guy has written.

Whether you’re penurious from need or desire the VIP membership offers way more insights than just the graphic details in the reviews by which to weigh your choices.
If you are dead set in not peeling off the needed scratch for a VIP and waiting until you have two posted reviews (and then continue posting at least two more each month) I would recommend judging "well reviewed" as two or more pages(20+ reviews) with consistent score values.

...obviously you can afford VIP. Perhaps the real question is it worth it (as so many internet sites are not)? Well, VIP is definitely worth it. In fact, they could charge $100 a month and probably keep over 90% of their membership.
And, by worth it I do not just mean session details. The advanced features you get like detailed search are critical if your at all serious. PM (private messaging) is also included with VIP. This gives you the ability to privately comunicate with both hobbiests and providers here.
