I have seen some dancers use these x pole's and they are sturdy and some don't need any mounting to ceilings or floors, so they are truly portable. They aren't cheap, but you get what you pay for ;)

I am thinking of booking a room for an evening of explicit, unbridled passion with an escort who claims to be a great "pole dancer." In order for her to exhibit her talents, I assume I need a pole, other than my own.

Are there any hotel suites with a stripper pole in the Los Angeles area? I know that the Palms and the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas both have high-end suites with stripper poles, but they are $$$$$ per night (I think the Palms suite is $3,000 per night... companionship not included!)

Is there anything comparable in the LA area that is affordable

....a portable good quality stripper pole. I know a bunch of strippers that have them and use them for parties and stuff. I'm sure it would work in a hotel room too, tho there is always a possible risk of ceiling or floor damage if not installed correctly. But it might be an option.

Thanks Lopaw,

A portable dance pole would be ideal. I once read in a review about a hobbyist who installed one in a hotel room. Unfortunately, I can't remember which reviewer he (or she) was, so I can't send a PM.

I found the Lil Minx Dance Pole that purports to be portable (link below). However, the instructions say you have to find a stud (the wooden kind, not the human or equine kind) and drill a 3/16" hole in it to support the top of the pole. I doubt hotels would want me drilling holes into the ceiling.

If you come across any that don't require drilling a hole into the ceiling, feel free to send a PM or post here.

I'll keep looking. In the meantime, Kayla Kisses suggested the Redbury Hotel in Hollywood, which has a support pole for the kitchen counter that can double as a dance pole :-).
