If you are safe and comfortable with having your CC dinged once a month under the innocuous generic billing agent used by TER your VIP membership will go into effect MUCH MUCH sooner than through the money order "snail mail" method.
If you have concerns of being grilled by a curious wife or SO as to what the charge on your CC statement is then I'd recommend the more tedious plan "B".

I have read through many threads bringing myself up to date on this hobby.  This is a very informative site!!

I do have a couple of questions though,  should I put the VIP membership for this site on a CC or just mail in the money via snail mail?  What do most of you do?

Is there a verification service that is best for Florida?  I have read a couple threads where some are better for different areas.

I haven't contacted anyone yet, since I don't have any references.  I was thinking of getting verified before contacting a provider.  Should I do that, or just put a newbie post in the FL forum looking for a provider to help out?

Thanks for the help in advance.

Be careful about using a CC if someone else (spouse or SO) may review your statement.  Although TER uses a relatively innocuous name in it's billing, be cautious if someone else reviewing your statement will question the charge.  Personally, I used CC, since I am single, and no one else views my statements, which are sent electronically anyways.  Paying up front for the full year saves .5$, though when I was new, I paid on a monthly basis for the first two years.  That being said, getting VIP here is a must in order to read reviews and get the full low-down on what to expect from the providers you may wish to see.  As for verification services, there are several available for a modest cost, though I have found that to be unnecessary.  As for the Florida market, the FL board indicates that there are many excellent providers there, though I have only met a few that travel to my locale about a thousand miles north.  If you contact any, you may find one or more willing to work with you despite being a newbie...just let them know that up front.  Good luck to you!

I am single, I use my CC for VIP because I don't care what shows up on my statement, no one else sees it.

If you contact a few well known, and well reviewed providers. Tell them the truth, be sincere, and be willing to give up information. There are providers that will work with you to ensure their safety.

Good luck, and have fun.

I have no idea what is popular in FL. But, find some ladies you like, and see what they accept. No use getting verified at Company ABC if she uses XYZ

I don't recommend mailing payment to the Netherlands.  It will take 3+ months for you to get VIP status.  I would say now that TER is offering extra days credit for the holidays I would just go for the one year membership at $180 and get 90 days for free.

Full year sub...plus 90 extra days is a much better deal.  If you can, pay by CC...VIP status is instantaneous that way...
