ive been trying to book girls i see from lakgirlstyle blog for weeks now.
out of 20 or more numbers I tried on the website,
only one number had replied to my texts/calls, and when I visited,
I was not that impressed.
as i read the reviews i see phrases like "i saw that she was available" or "i contacted a booker".
Am i doing something wrong by just straight up calling the number listed?

without reviews or history or knowledge of whom you contacted and how often you have contacted them you are not going much helpful info. Any suggestions are nothing. More than speculation.
If you are legit your best resource on the way the LA K-doll is the LA Discussion board . Do a search. God helps those who helps themselves. In addition patience, perseverance and persistence leads to success.

I'm not very familiar with how the kgirls usually screen their clients but one Asian lady I was friendly with told me that she would never meet anyone unless they listed their references in their first email.
My only other guess is, if you aren't getting an answer when you call, try calling back or try texting. If there's an email address listed, try emailing. I don't know how it all goes with the bookers & everything but I would assume that if you're persistent, you'll eventually get through.
All else fails, find some indie girls who are happy to meet newbies & build yourself up some references 
There is a separate board for K-Girls here on TER. I'd suggest searching this topic there because it comes up alot.
Blog with KD profiles. You book with the KD's bookers.
The informant ion for the LA K-doll scene is on this site and not the K-doll forum which is a relatively new " general forum " .
As such you get the clueless , ignorant & blind trolls , who are not even from LAS to have knowledge about what they are posting about , start giving advice.
