Looking for an SB NSA

If anyone in the LA DT & nearby areas is interested in a SB - SD arrangement PM me.

Maybe you didn't mean it an unkind way way, but your comment is offensive.  Trans women are real women so to place them in a separate category is harmful and this societal attitude leads to the deaths/murders of many trans women regularly as a nationwide epidemic.   If you're seeking to distinguish between transgender and non-transgender women without perpetuating harm on transgender women, then you can use the word "cisgender" to refer to non-transgender women.  Like, "are you looking for a transgender woman or a cisgender woman?"  Or some people shorten the terms to cis and trans, like, "are you looking for a trans woman or a cis woman?"

I'd guess that the OP is interested in any kind of woman, cisgender or transgender, since he did not specify and clearly sees both cis and trans women.

Trans comes from the Latin root that means "on the opposite side", used in organic chemistry to describe molecular structure, and in many other words to describe a crossing of sorts.  So a transgender person is someone who has a different gender than the one they were assigned at birth.  They have moved across genders.

Cis comes from the Latin root that means "on the same side".  It is similarly used in organic chemistry but used less in common everyday language than Trans.  We have lots of words with the prefix Trans but not many words with the prefix Cis, so people are unfamiliar.  But someone who is cisgender identifies with the same gender they were assigned at birth.  So the vast majority of the people in the world are cisgender, either because of societal expectations or just because most people do identify with the gender that they were raised as.

I'm not sure if you are concerned with respecting transgender women or not, but I just wanted to share this little PSA about language in the interest of promoting a culture of respect for the trans women in our online community.

To the OP:  it's too bad I'm not in LA!  I bet we would get along swimmingly.  I do plan to visit sometime this Winter, though.  :)

I love that you posted this! More people need to become informed about this subject. I get upset when people call a friend of mine "he/him" or "it." It's fucked up. She looks more womanly than half of the cis women I encounter.
I appreciate and respect the fact that you posted this... well said xo
