I am going to Germany this summer and would love insight on what towns and internet or written resources are the best for hobbying?
I have never been to Germany before, so any insights, no matter how simple, will be useful to me.

The ISG website is pretty handy if you want English. If you're willing to translate from German and are focussing on NRW you should try freiercafe, for Hessen Roemerforum or Lustscout, for Stuttgart BW7.
In French you have Youppie and in Dutch you have Ijsberenforum. These are bigger forums, there are plenty smaller ones as well (Rheinforum, Freiermagazin, Bordellcommunity etc.).
