Meals on Wheels serves roughly 2.4 million seniors, and costs nearly $1.4 billion, a year. But only 35 percent of the costs is covered by the Older Americans Act, the “primary federal funding source,” Bertolette told Military Times. “The rest is made up of contributions from state, local, private donations and other resources.”
So 3 million dollars is cut from a program that feeds 2.4 million people?

Is Meals on Wheels the ONLY program in the history of western civilization that doesn't have waste fraud and abuse? Doubtful
But that wont stop libs from demagoging the issue so we do nothing.
If they get less they will be forced to prioritize the money to get to the truly needed.
Our massive welfare state is going broke and tough decisions need to be made.
