Just the basics here.

I love patron with once in a while I buy Don Julio 1942

But I'll go for a Clynelish 15 when you are not around.

and ordered a martini.  The barkeep asked what kind of gin I wanted.

I told him "I came in here to forget my problems because my dame left.  I want the cheapest rot gut you got to help me forget."

to date my absolute favorite single bottle of wine. And I normally don't like cabs. This one, though- I can't say enough good things about it. If only it were easier to find!!

From wine.com:

Winemaker's Notes

The 2011 B Side Cabernet Sauvignon opens with aromas of plum, blackberry compote, cardamom and hints of cigar box. Black cherry and cassis flavors transition to bittersweet chocolate and espresso through the mid-palate, revealing layers of depth. This wine is full-bodied, with well-integrated oak and smooth, supple tannins.

Critical Acclaim

"This offers everything you want in a Napa Cabernet, and at a decent price. It’s dry, balanced in acidity and tannins, and elegantly constructed, with classic blackberry and cassis liqueur flavors touched by oak. Editors' Choice."

SOOOO GOOOOD.

after an extended evening with Jager and RB's.  Next morning, it sucked hosing off the patio and repairing a redwood chair with the most jacked up hangover in a while.  But I still LOVE Jager and I dance really good afterwards!

It's a shame that Bushmills did not name it Red Bush.  I'd get a kick going around saying "I'd LOVE some Red Bush".   Oh wait.  I already do that!!!   8-P

I'm not a fan of 'hard' spirits.

Lots of very tastey "Crafted" beers, Ales, "Wits", stouts, porters and barly wines out there. ENJOY!

A very, very good Zinfandel I had the pleasure of enjoying last night.

I'm going to very, very highly recommend the Tapatio Excelencia Extra Anejo.  Not easy to find (I think KL Wines in Hollywood is the only place in LA that carries it), and not cheap at around $140 a bottle, but not only is it the best tequila I've every had, it's one of the best spirits I've ever tasted, period.

If you like whiskey, I'm really getting into Japanese whiskies these days.  Suntory Hibiki, aged in used plum liqueur casks is really, really lovely.  Enjoy it with just a splash of water to open up the nose.  Also, Green Spot Irish whiskey just hit the US, and it's extraordinarily good stuff.
