Anyone playing Beat the Streak on MLB.COM?

I just started couple of days ago and so far doing well...

The game is as follows: You, the fan has to choose one or up to two hitters everyday, and if your hitter gets a base hit, you get 1 point, or 2 points if you choose "double down" option. If you beat Joe DiMaggio's 56 Game Hitting Streak (1941), by choosing 57 players consecutively, then you win $5.6 million..

Picking hot hitters against pitchers with high WHIP's would seem like a god strategy to me.  It can't hurt to pick games where the over under is over ten, like in Wrigleynwhen the wind is blowing out, or in Coors field any day. It has to help your chances when your guy is getting six or more plate appearances

minus the weather related conditions. But again, since I've been doing this, there hasn't been any games in Coors field anyway.

Joey Votto (Reds) and Chris "Crush" Davis (O's) are my pics for today.... So we'll see

But those sound like pretty good picks to me.

and thinking of replacing Votto and w/Ichiro Suzuki of Yankees.

The man is 6 shy of 4000th career hit. So he is going to be extra vigilant. He has always been known for his base hits anyway, with only 110 HR.

Yep, I think I will do it, and leave Chris Davis alone...

You had to bring that up, didn't you..

Yeah only if you can stop hurting our kid now..We can talk...

BTW, J-Up was the one who messed up this other guy's streak of 47.  I've picked Chris Johnson of Braves and he got himself a hit. But I would never bet against Nats. I want Strasburg throwing a No-Hitter today. :D

When he hit the HR... I said to myself I wonder what Curly is thinking right now lol.

But yeah I agree.. I would never depend on Upton for a streak because he strikes out so much.

Should be a good game tonight, but you guys have to start giving Strasbourg some run support.. just not tonight lol
