Just a quick note to thank everyone who posted on this board during the time that I was moderator. I've been advised that TER is making several changes to the way that the discussion boards function, and will no longer have volunteer moderators.
I feel very strongly that it is important to have someone knowledgeable about risk-aware consensual kink moderating this board, since so many of the activities we engage -- while mostly fun -- in can result in physical, emotional or psychological damage, I really cannot endorse TER's idea of having a non-kinkster take over as moderator of this board, which strikes me as a very, very, VERY bad idea. As such, I will not risk damage my "scene" reputation by further participation on this Board. Maybe that seems like "sour grapes", but if you've ever played in a dungeon or club where safety protocols are not in place and knew to get the fuck out of Dodge because it was only a matter of time until someone gets hurt really bad, then you'll understand.
In any event, it was truly a pleasure meeting you all, and I cannot thank everyone (particularly submissann) for all of their amazing and insightful posts on this board. Many of you shared the most intimate parts of your souls with us, and I was honored to be privy to that.
Continue to play safe, sane and consensually.

I do not get the sense that the new mods will be imparting any advice. I believe they are just there or moderation.
It would seem that with your knowledge of BDSM you would be a positive voice to stay in touch and to continue with your posts.

You made a difference to the people that participated on this board. Please do not let any actions of this company negate these truths in your mind.
Most likely, from what I have gleaned, the new moderator will check for protocols of links, etc. and cannot possibly add the value you did.
I would hope you would stay to participate as one of us. Then again, i didn't see this board from your side and I don't know what you deleted, what you had to do behind the scenes.

How silly is it to have someone who is NOT involved in kink be in charge of a kink discussion board...good thing there are so many of us who know how to play safe and can step up and offer the type of info you have given out LeChiffre.
