First, he throws them under the buss regarding the Yemen raid, says they no longer know how to fight to win, then exploits Chief Petty Officer William (Ryan) Owen's widow. For most of those watching his speech, it didn't register that he'd crossed over a line. However, you can tell he's losing traction fast, as Commander-In-Chief, in their eyes! ;)

All the peeps on CNN, both left and right, gave Trump props for not only his speech, but specifically for his engagement with the widow. Numerous libs at other networks did the same thing.

Of course the people watching "didn't register that he'd crossed over a line" bc they are all too fucking stupid and no where near as smart as you, right Matt? LOL

What you saw as "exploitation" the majority of the country saw as a possible incredibly cathartic moment and a feeling of unity with a new widow. The moment CLEARLY meant a lot to her and you go ahead and piss on it. You must be proud.  

Always brilliant too to decipher what someone is thinking by looking at a still. Maybe you should work as a medium? LOL

It does not matter how it was delivered in a speech.
The Liar-In-Chief actions speaks louder than his lying words.
Also the media wants access to this clown after being shutout.
We can see past Trump's garbage and not all media is buying his bullshit last night!

You may be correct about everyone else and the media, however, my experience in having to retrieve the bodies of dead airmen, and serving as color guard at burials, while in the Navy, gives me a much different perspective than yourself, and I believe regarding what those military officers were thinking. And, I've witnessed JAG officers counseling bereaved family members on how not to be used by politicians for  "incredibly cathartic" moments "and a feeling of unity..."

I'm saying I believe that picture is reflective of what I'm quite certain those military officers were thinking, based on my experience. I do believe they thought he was using that widow for his own self-aggrandizement, and to deflect from his throwing them under the buss when passing the buck to them. Convenient how you keep leaving that part out! Given how well it worked for you sheeple on the left and the right, it was a great success for him, though it doesn't make it right! He may very well pay the price in ways he will never see coming. ;)
