I would worry less

about the emplowees, than I would about an LE sting. As has been said here many times before, if you stick with well reviewed providers , the chances of a sting are slim. That said, because of limited resources, when LE does set up a sting it's cheaper to rent a hotel room for the evening than setting up shop in an apartment.

Hotel employees are the least of your worries, first off, alomst none of them care. If you do run accross the occasional busy body, there is very little they can do. Call the police? By the time they arrive you'll be gone and even if they do show up there is no way to prove p4p. Also keep in mind that people hooking up for free behind there spouse's back look just as guilty as someone seeing a provider.

Stick with well reviewed providers and you'll be fine.

I am an overly paranoid newbie.  I have met some ladies at incalls at their private residences and some at hotels.  I am very apprehensive about hotels.  I go in and I feel like everyone at the front desk knows what is going on then I see the fisheye lens and imagine the image with my face blurred out on the 9 o’clock news.  Am I just being far too paranoid here?  Or is it pretty much “with a well reviewed lady don’t worry about it”

To answer your question, yes, some hotel clerks do know what's going on here.  They're aware that providers use their rooms for their line of work.  And they're also aware than hobbyists come to visit the said providers.  At the same time, they have no way of telling who's a hobbyist and who's just visiting a guest.  So they have no way of knowing why you're there.  Of course, if you're nervously pacing around the lobby while talking on your cell phone, then it's pretty much a giveaway.

Hotels are in the business of renting rooms. As long as you don't raise a ruckus or draw suspicion to yourself they really don't worry too much about who is doing what where. Now, there are always exceptions. Small hotels in small towns being one of  them.  Don't hang out in hotel lobbies waiting for your appointment. I don't even hang around in parking lots of Suburban properties. Pull in, walk into the place like you've been there 100 times and just relax.

You have to act like you belong.  I always carry some sort of brief case or computer bag as well as a newspaper to blend in if I have to wait in the lobby.  Remember, you are waiting for a business associate.  When you do go up the elevator, act as if you know where you are going.

Four of the five providers I've seen used hotels as their outcall and the next one I've got appointed is temporarily using a hotel while her incall is being worked on.

I have never felt uncomfortable- just as was said above, I just walk in like I belong- the desk clerks are way too bored or self absorbed or busy to even notice.

If you are seeing established providers with lots of reviews, they are very experienced and safety conscious for themselves.  They know the game, rotate hotels, arrive in business woman attire themselves and are as "invisible" as they can be.  I wouldn't worry if I were you as long as you see experienced, well reviewed providers.

On the otherhand, if you are seeing a non-reviewed or little reviewed Craig's List provider.... I'd be scared to death.  I wouldn't do it to begin with, but if your little head was thinking instead of the big head and you booked one, I'd arrive early, drive around the parking lot and block several times looking for cars with bored man or woman sitting in them pretending like they aren't looking out.........

The above are all good suggestions.  Particularly the one about seeing reviewed ladies with a track record.  It's when you go out to CL you are fair game for robs and stings.

As for going into the hotels - it's a good idea to simply ASK the provider for specific directions.  I.e.

Where exactly is the elevator located?  (Past the desk to the right? left? etc.)

Is there a discrete entrance to the building?  Etc.  Where can you park?

And yes, don't hang around the property.  If it's a large business hotel the bar might be one thing,  just don't forget the lady you came to see when someone else chats you up!

I was recently in a 5-star hotel to see a lady. She gave me the room number, but didn't tell me which way to go once I got inside for the elevators. You have to pass the desk, and Murphy's Law being what it is, I picked the wrong way. Had to backtrack and go the other way with everyone watching. Had to wander around the other side a little before finding the out-of-the-way elevators.

I wouldn't even worry about wandering for the elevators. I've had several hotel visits while on conference for business meetings, interviews, etc. and if I have to meet someone in their hotel rather than mine, I won't know my way around. I've asked for directions to a particular room or where the elevator banks are etc. This was back before I started the hobby, but never once worried that I would be suspected of being there for anything inappropriate. And I don't worry now. Only you know why you are there, and none of the staff care.

As long as your provider is discreet and low-key, they either won't notice, or won't care.  Hotels are not in the morality business, so as long as the provider or her clients aren't causing them any trouble, they won't go out of their way to make an issue out of it.  They are more worried about their financial bottom line than they are about anything else.

Model yourself on Cary Grant in the opening scene of Hitchcock's North by Northwest.

Having seen one provider at her condo residence incall location, I can say that I am much more comfortable at hotel locations.  I think that nosey neighbors and security cameras at condo buildings would be more likely to notice multiple men going to the same room after being "buzzed in".  I much prefer blending in at a hotel.  As suggested above, I always carry a computer bag and a newspaper with me, and try to act as if I belong.  If at a busy downtown hotel, just sit in the lobby or meeting room area reading your newspaper waiting for the call up to the room.  If a suburban hotel, make your initial call from a gas station or restaurant parking lot near your provider's hotel, so you do not have to spend time waiting in your car once you are in the lot.

There is always a lot of concern raised on this board about hotels.  I always am more concerned about going to condos or apartment buildings.  Every condo or apartment building I ever lived in had people living there that wanted to know everybodys business in the building.  In a hotel there is anominity that protects you.  As previously stated, you just have to act like you are there on business.  That is why I too always carry a briefcase in hotels.

Keep abreast of stories in your local paper.

Last spring, my local paper ran a prominent story detailing how a group of motels located just off the Interstate were cooperating with local police by reporting any suspicious activities such as single women renting rooms and seeing cars coming and going.

I had just had a date at one of these motels too, but no more.

The provider I saw actually has a good working relationship with the hotel she uses! They know what she's doing and do what they can to keep her coming back. She hadn't called to reserve the morning I saw her and they didn't have a room ready. She said that was fine she would go down the street and use a different hotel. They said no wait, we'll get a room ready for you!....lol

Now that's a preferred customer.

As other's mentioned, just act like you belong and you'll be fine. Make an appointment only with an experienced lady and follow her lead, not your own instincts.

Everyones responses are very good and right on. The only caveat is the Marriot chain of hotels. There was an article recently in the Washington DC area that said they are less tolerent of our hobby and have a reward system for staff to keep eyes open for activity that is unusual. I'm sure the well respected providers are aware and are not using the Marriot chain but just in case be aware.

"No, I'm not a hobbyist...but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night"
