Tips on what TER is all about? You will want to look through TER's Instruction Manual, which is permanently posted above the list of discussion threads on this board. While most of it is geared to hobbyists (which can help you learn how we use TER), there is also some provider specific information.
Obviously, the focus of the site is the reviews, and you say you have one pending. Given your location, the easiest way to search for your review will be to leave the everything, including the city, blank and search by your area code. BTW, if for some reason the review isn't posted, more than likely it has nothing to do with you, and you are better off not directly getting involved. Let the guy defend/amend his review.
Another component of TER is the discussion on the boards. On the regional boards, providers can post ads (see the guidelines in the Instruction Manual). While the NY board is focussed on NYC, you will find that gals post ads for your city, and sometimes hobbyist post asking for contacts and suggestions there.
The "Other Cities" board is another place for you to post ads. It is the catch-all location for all cities/regions that don't have their own board.
Also keep an eye on the "In Search Of" board. Here guys post to ask for info gals, regions, locations, etc. Its been a while, but Syracuse has been discussed there before, so you never know.
