I live in a section of the country where crime is extremely low, Practically non existent, if not for a few local red necks, originally from Arkansas, HRC supporters with a racist resume, and one angry old man who owns the largest farm around, driving a twenty year old Buick.
He steals a dozen or two single serving condiments at the local General store, when he's stopping there to buy chewing tobacco or gas.
You're supposed to buy a sausage biscuit, fries or a hot dog from the Deli if you take ketchup or mustard home.
He always grabs a big handful of napkins too.
When I first moved out that way I saw him at the store early one day and greeted him with,
"Good morning Sir"
He asked me what's so Damn good about it.
Slightly startled I told him I woke up this morning, that's a good start for any day in my book.
He replied with a stern face, plastered with absolutely no joy in meeting me, and possibly disgust, in a gargled with thumb tacks gruff voice , " It doesn't do me any Damn good if you Wake up or Not "
He's angry but too old to be anything except harmless, unless he's stealing condiments or possibly head on into oncoming traffic, by accident or just falling asleep.
Never heard of a murder, rape, gang beating, home invasion, or night time burglary, anywhere near the vicinity of my shack or nearby where I've lived in the last seven years.
Much safer than Beverly Hills without having to deal with pompous, riff raff white trash who think they're elitist with great educations and the truth be told, with most of them, the only shingle they have on the wall is one for "Acting" and they are usually acting stupid IMO.
Where I live, Sanctuary cities are against the Code of Honor and Respect for Law and Order.
There is no Sanctuary city nearby.
Mostly White and Black farmers who export crops and live stock to nearby city slickers.
I doubt they're looking to take a chance on importing criminal activity or possibly guys
who wouldn't always show proper respect for the farmers daughters.
All of of them own machinery to eliminate the need for large gangs of farm hands.
They have enough problems dealing with too much or not enough rain and cheap foreign crops flooding the market , cutting into American farmer livelihood.
I watched an interview with Lady Gaga, she said she'd love to go out in public and just talk with someone about whatever.
I don't recall her exact words but I know what she was saying.
Like we do at the General store when we talk about daily life with ordinary people and we don't ask the sociable rich farmers for their autograph when they drop by to chat.
She'd love visiting my town.
She could shop in the General Dollar and no one would recognize her except me..
I bet she'd have a great time with that kind of fame for a day or two. .
I feel fortunate I'm not famous except with my dogs and my Boss.
