But in the case of Life (in the USA) Without Goods Made in China, which is almost impossible today, the story unfolds 35+ years after homegrown tech and manufacturing was offshored and obliterated domestically. A lot of that Made in China USED to be made in the USA, but no longer.

Cheap illegal labor not only subsidizes the California  economy, it hurts legal citizens wages.
   You want to quickly raise the minimum wage without Government decree.
