Yes, I have curtailed some of my criticism as he is at the beginning of his admin. If he doesn't come through with tax reform, or he greatly adds to the debt, or gets into nation building, I will destroy him here, as I have done in the past.

If he goes down that "Mexican" judge nonsense road again, I will excoriate him. If he picks on another gold star family, I will trash him. Just like I did in the past.

On your side, I don't get any sense whatsoever you could possibly be fair to him. He will do nothing right. I am giving him a honeymoon until I see more evidence.

I didn't "always" diss Trump. I did so when I though he needed it. He acts like a jackass far too often, has incredibly thin skin and has embarrassed himself many times in the past and he does have to watch how he talks about race/nationality/American hero issues.

Like I told Matt, I am willing to give him time. Some things he says and does scares me. I think if you were being 100% honest, he has placed you in difficult spots of trying to defend him.

Sometimes he is indefensible. No need to rehash those issues but pm me if you need specifics. Sometimes he is just plain wrong and wont admit it, but that would put him in the company of his two most recent predecessors who rarely ever admitted they were wrong.

Lets give him time before we declare him the next Reagan or Nixon. It really is up in the air whether he will be more like the former than the latter but you know where my hope lies.

I think he didn't pick up on a bit of sarcasm where you momentarily put yourself in the shoes of the Left.

I will say one thing that if Trump and others had been less abrasive and abrupt with his public statements regarding Muslim bans, the 9th Circuit would have felt they had nothing to decry intent, not that they should have in the first place.
