Amanda, you are doing what you need to do by making posts like this.  I would also suggest getting involved on TER regional board for your area.  You are able to post informational ads there weekly and are able to comment on other posts as often as you choose.  That will do a great deal to help get your name out there.

Judging by your pictures, you are a very attractive young lady.  If your personality is as nice as your physical beauty, you should do very well very quickly.

I've had an ad running on Cityvibe for a few weeks, and while the phone calls are trickling in, I'm not getting the response I was hoping for yet. Clearly, reviews are important to many of the gentlemen on TER when they make a choice. I did get my first review, just recently. Still, I'm in a bit of a catch-22 here: to be reviewed, I'd need to see the very people who may be waiting for more reviews to show up! :-) So OK, these things take time... My question is, what now?

1. Any suggestions for how to proceed between now and review #2/#3/#7? I'd be especially thankful for suggestions from providers who are willing to share how you dealt with this initial start-up period... (I'm waiting for review #3 so I can request access to the provider-only board... ;-))

2. Maybe I should consider going to work for an agency while I build more of a reputation. I'd be fine sharing my profits in exchange for a steady stream of clients, but how do I know I'm dealing with a safe, classy, reputable place? Would it be appropriate to post on the local board with a request for recommendations?

Thanks in advance, everyone!
xoxo

First off your face is blurred.  People have no clue what they are getting.  Withour reviews and pics, people are going off the bod alone.  Nice one at that, but face is nice.
If you insist on using the blurr go with agency and build rep then solo.  Only don't reduce the level of service when you leave the agency many girls do that and it back fires.

Hi Amanda, you've already covered most of the basics : you have your first review, and have claimed it as yours.  Now you need to capitalize on it!

1)  You are allowed to post one "ad" post on your regional board.  If you are hoping to attract TER members, you will want TER members in your area know that you are available.

2)  In addition to your ad posts, you are free join in the normal discussion on TER's boards.  Some boards are more chatty than others but now that "see my TER reviews" appears next to your name whenever you post, chatting and flirting on the regional, and general discussion boards can attract some attention.

3)  Think about putting together your own website.  There are a number of free options where you can package yourself and provide more info.

You are really cute honey - if you ever want to double let me know...  :-)

Go to my web site and e-mail me since you don't have PM yet and I'll give you some suggestions.

There are some semi-private sites for the LA region that could launch your career if you are good.

Hugs,
TS Jamie  :-)

Thank you for the kind words, everyone! It's nice to know that (a) I seem to be on the right track, and, (b) my pics -- even sans face-- are getting a good response. :-)

Any insight on how I might go about picking agencies to contact, should I decide to go that route?

The advice above about posting on your regional board as well as the General Discussion Board is good.  Well-written posts often attract guys; plus, you can post 1 ad per week.  Speaking for myself, I have met many ladies after having first read their posts, then followed the link to their reviews and viola, their pics (there has to be a physical attraction too).

Contrary to what one guy said, if you want to blur your eyes for discretion that is fine with most guys.  Several ladies I know do that but also post a pic of just their eyes.  Seductive eyes can be very aluring.

I will also agree with one poster who said you are very attractive.  Quality pics can go a long way to helping your image.

If you really want to join an agency for the early part of your career, search reviews in your area by phone number and all girls that are reviewed by an agency will appear.  Choose the agency that has the higher reviewed ladies.

Whatever direction you choose to go, best of luck and be safe.

Start by offering reduced first time special rates. I believe your rates are too high for a newbie. But make special mention of the reduced rates. Then when clients have had a great time they will come back and pay more. Also better pics. (I'm a marketing specialist)Also, great first time reviews are always suspect. You need to build more great reviews! Lower fees will do it!

Ontoomuch, you made some very good points.  Your response brought up a couple questions in my mind.

I wondered, are her rates due more to what is typical of the market value of newer providers with the combination of looks and quality of service she possesses in her market area?

It seems to me the larger and more affluent the geographic area from which to draw clients, there is a tendency to have a higher market value (Compare the charges for the highest rated providers from NYC, LA, Las Vegas, Miami, etc. to the highest rated providers from smaller areas of the country).  Not being from her area (I am in Orlando), I can only speculate but feel she may be priced accordingly for new providers in the LA area.

Of course, the suggestion you made of giving an introductory "special" rate would work for her.  My fear would be that if she is already at the norm, by lowering her charges, she may find difficulty in later increasing her charges as she becomes more popular, especially if she creates a large book of repeat customers.

I was curious about her pictures.  Other than her face being hidden, I thought the pictures gave a good idea of what she looks like and I found them to make her look very attractive.  As a professional in that area, what would you advise her to do to create a better portfolio?

Thanks

Thank you, raven! Yes, ontoomuch, I will take your feedback to heart -- and I would appreciate anything you care to add about the pics from a marketing expert's perspective!
