This is something I wish to know too, there some "fancy" providers that i wish to see but i couldnt give a reference so I used a very nice provider who didnt ask references for me. Im gonna email her and maybe she can provide a nice reference for me.  But I understand how a provider would say negative feedback to "protect" her business.

I did a search here to see if I could find the answer but to no avail, I'm sure it's been asked before.

Is it proper etiquette to use a provider that you've seen once as a reference to see another? And, I suppose a fella should get permission ahead of time?

I did read here a while back were there was some concern about providers giving negative feedback as to "protect" their business. Everything went well on my last date and we've emailed back & forth a couple times since so I feel she's fine with me.

I'm not being negative, just asking a naive question.

Thanks all.

But good manners dictates that you clear it first with the provider whom you want to give out as a reference.

Also, most providers insist that you not use them as a reference if it has been more than six months since you last saw them.

Their memories do have limits.

The really quality well-reviewed ladies don't need to withhold references to protect their business and will be very gracious about references if you are deserving of one.  Otherwise, how would they be able to get references on their own new clients if as a group they were selfish about it.

I'm pretty new, but the wonderful ladies I've seen have been very gracious about references.
