How to make appt. without 1st reference

Greetings --

This is my first post since becoming a VIP two weeks ago. It has been a great education, and I've searched as many of the FAQs and links as possible.

But I have a couple of questions:

1) I'm wanting to make my first appointment with a TER-listed provider, but I have no references from other providers, no RS2K membership, no DateBook, etc. I would rather not put my info on those sites, but I'm more than happy to give my provider any employment info and other verification information she would need. In other words, is it easy to make my first appt. with no references?

2) If I send a email to a provider via the TER site, does the provider receive my email address so that she can reply? I ask this because I emailed a provider on the site five days ago and have not heard back.

Thanks for any help. If there are links with answers to these questions, please post them.

Thanks

SingleSteve

I'm new to this as well and have contacted a couple of providers.  Some seem to accept newbies and will guide you  - others just don't respond.  Honesty (with privacy protection of course) seems to go a long way.  The good providers seem to want to be (1) safe, (2) respected, and (3) be given a good opportunity and situation to please you.  Many seem to take the craft of companionship very serioulsy.  There is a huge difference between crack whore and companion.   As long as you respond to the things above in a reasonable fashion you should do OK.  Providers if I am wrong on this please set it right.

1) Different ladies have different screening requirements. Some will accept work information in lieu of references from other ladies. Some will not. Your best bet is to visit the sites of the ladies you're interested in seeing and check out their verification requirements.

If you have perused this site then you should know that individual knowledge of the mechanics of this site are as varied as its players. The particular provider you PM’d may not even be aware of the PM system or be properly registered with TER as a “provider” so that they can receive/answer it without the need of a full VIP membership.
Levels of professionalism also vary greatly. A provider in NY or LA who has a flattering review history that spans from two years back to present; but only has 8 reviews total could indicate something less than 100% dedication to the craft on her level.

Every TER member has the little envelope next to their name, but only VIPs can receive email.

There is only one type of TER user that you can identify as a VIP.  If you see "see my TER reviews" next to her name on her posts, she can receive you TER email.  Of course if she never posts on the boards, or never visits TER, she will never know of your interest.

Contacting her via her site, is usually more reliable.

Thanks to all for your replies. It sounds like it shouldn't be too difficult to get the first appointment. And now I know how the email setup works. Much appreciated.
