This is the week that every dry economist and social policy maker come together to bow their heads in deference to Janet Yellen and try to figure out how to avoid the global governments from sending us into a global bankruptcy - again.

The IMF/World Bank Annual Meeting, attended by international dignitaries.  There is substantial security, and there are often protests.  As a result, traffic congestion is monumental between Georgetown and the White House.
