thanks that was very useful............my situation isn't unique yet not mainstream either

What type of information and or references do agencies check.  This is my first time using them and I have no clue.  Thanks

your correct name, address and phone number as it appears on your drivers license.

In addition, they will want either or both of:

1.  References from providers you have seen in the last six months (some want at least two).

2.  Where you work and the company's phone number.

With this information, they can be reasonably assured that you are on OK guy and not LE.

if I'm retired what other form of data or information would they be interested in ?

I once gave an agency a link from a website that basically listed my resume. Don't know if that was a good idea or not, but it just showed that 'I am who I say I am' to her. I work in the TV industry as a freelancer, so I don't have an office # -- and a few of the shows I worked on in the past are listed on IMDB. And the agency actually suggested that to me since I explained I don't really have an office # to be reached at... or real references...

I had several providers that would refer me when i was starting out, but all of them were not listed or members on TER. I also didn't have email addresses for them. So the only way for me to be screened was if they could call these girls who weren't farmiliar with this process at all and thus, made them (my references) feel a little uncomfortable; not knowing that it ultimately was making the "community" safer. So I stopped giving their #s out to new providers b/c it was just too much drama. But what that led me to do sense I couldn't use references or work #s is just to really talk w. the provider or agency and eventually you'll find a common ground of trust. Trade a few emails. Be professional on the phone. Tell them something about what you do for a living that doesn't sound reheresed. But most importantly take the time to gain trust. Then, once you are able to meet with a few girls and things go well, ask for a white list reference on this site. Share your TER handle is another way. If they are members of this fine site, you can trade PMs with them to further gain trust. I'm fairly new to this myself, but these are just a couple things I learned this past summer.

I am still fairly new at the hobby, but am reluctant to ask for White List reference or to share my TER username. This would make it more difficult to write an honest review that was less than glowing. The provider could use that against someone if they know specifically who they are. Then you might wind up on the Black List undeservedly.

All the other advice that has been offered appears very useful and in-line with my brief experiences.

in a full and open manner, then they will not exclude you, especially if you have good references.
