Dupont area parking

For hotels north or west of the circle, I can often find a free space on Decatur Place or S St. NW, or a meter space on Florida Ave.

That will involve walking, so you need to leave some extra time.

If I was going in this weather I would Uber

Hello everyone,
I will be visiting the Dupont Circle area and was wondering if it is difficult to find any street parking? Thanks in advance for any info.

There is street parking but you should plan in advance to arrive and drive around finding a spot. It can be done though!

DuPont Circle is lively all day, every day. Especially at night. It will be fairly difficult to find parking, so make sure you are not in a hurry. Also, be prepared to park a few blocks away from your destination. Pay attention to the signs as well... I see a lot of people get their cars ticketed and/or towed for being in the wrong space at the wrong time. The parking enforcement people work quickly and will ticket you for a violation even 1 min past the time.

Enjoy your trip here :o)

Thanks for all of your helpful suggestions.

The ParkMobile app is great for many reasons.  (as far as finding street parking, just Uber/Taxi to your destination - otherwise allow yourself at least 45 minutes lead time for your appointment to find street parking - I kid you not).

1)  You can refresh the parking time - so you don't have to go the meter to feed in more 'coins'.

2)  Pay attention to the APP on how much time it will give you for parking.  The sign may read 3 hours, but it may only be 2 on how shitty they make the sign.  Often it READS like you have 3 hours, but after you get your ticket you realize its as only 2 hours left or less.  Look at your APP and see what the max time it gives you.  Hard to explain, but if you are confused about the sign, go by the APP.  --  For example, the sign make sit look like you have until 10:00 p.m and its 7:00 p.m, so you think you have 3 hours.  Sometimes its nope, because you only have until 9:00 pm.  The APP will show 2 hours max time, not 3...then you think, why is that?  Go by the APP, which knows you only have two hours.  Capiche?

3)  You don't need coins, credit card, pieces of paper to put on the dash, etc.
