THAT math isn't weird. That would show she isn't interested in discounting short dates....

....but will for longer dates (2hrs+). You're not paying "more" for her 90mins because 450 would be the 'normal' 90min rate for a 300 hourly rate and being the medium between her 1hr and 2hrs (because 300 hourly * 1.5 is 450).
Now 300hr 450 1.5 500 2hr looks to me she is trying to encourage longer dates by making her 2hr look more appealing in comparison to her 1hr and 90min rates. The real savings comes with her 2hr being 100 off of her hourly (since 300 hourly * 2 is 600).
Unlike a provider being 270hr xyz for 90mins and 600 for 2hrs.

The last 2 ads I looked at had some mathematically interesting suggestions. One had a rate of $270 for 1 hour, $600 for 2 hours. Does that mean if I make 2 separate, back-to-back 1-hour appointments instead of one 2-hour appointment, I can save $60? The other ad (not in DC) had a rate of $450 for 3 hours and $100/hour for additional hours beyond 3. But $3,000 quoted for overnight. Seems if one asks for the first scale, you could do a 15-hour evening and all-nighter for $1,550, much less.

I just find some of theses inconsistencies a bit funny, but it also leaves me with an impression that the provider doesn't really have their act together or there's a 3rd-party who is setting the rates who doesn't have basic math down.

Anyone encounter any other puzzling rates like this?

it may not make sense to us but they have a reason.  Weather it's a good one is the question

I think they just don't want to spend 2 hrs or all night with you, but they'll suffer through it if you'll pay the extra. They don't like to do IT, but they like the money.

Some will even post in their ad they do no more than 1 hour or 1/2 hour. If a provider has rate discrepancy or time limit restriction for 1/2 hour or hour I won't see her.

it has to do with extensions on the basic rate, like 300/HR, 450 1 1/2 hour, 500 2 hours.  So you'd be paying 150 for the first extra 1/2 hour, but only 50 for the second.  Never been able to figure out if they're trying to influence behavior or if they're just bad at math!

I agree.

I also seen rates like
 500 1/hr
700 90mins
 1000 2 hours
 1500 3 hours

And some would say it's wierd when it's not wierd she's just not discounting rates which is fine and allowed since not every wants to discounts.  I haven't seen a rate structure weird yet to me there is reasons why  ladies do there rate structure the way they do it's just that everyone may not agree with it.

This seems to be a frequently posted price scale. Obviously they are trying to encourage you to spend a little more money. It seems like most hobbyests would go for either one or two hours. The 1 1/2 hour rate doesn't make much economic sense. While most providers insist their rate is not subject to negotiation it might be worth seeing if you can get a 1 1/2 hour for $400 or $425. For myself I usually wait until a repeat visit to spring for the longer session. At that point if you've established a rapport you are in a position to negotiate.

I get a ton of 90min appts. Guys want longer then an hour but not exactly 2 hours so they go with 90. ;-)
