I will be in the area in September and would like to see some of the sights that weren't there on my last trip in 1973.
I would like to avoid driving in the city as much as possible. Would appreciate any information on which suburban cities are close to DC and would have hotels near a Metro station.
If I can find a place to stay while I explore then maybe I can find a nice lady to spend some time with as well.

lots of hotels (2 Marriott's, a Hilton, a Hyatt, Hampton, Crown Plaza, Westin, Embassy Suites, Doubletree, etc. Metro stations at both Crystal City & Pentagon City depending on which hotel you end up in, lots of restaurants in Crystal City & just a few minutes by Metro to the National mall, Smithsonian Museums, National Gallery of Art, & most of the Monuments/Memorials.
