Contacting provider by TER PM mail

When a provider requests email as first contact, do they care whether it is through TER pm mail or their public email address?

I know regular email is tracable by le through ip address of sender, don't know about TER pm.  For some reason I feel more comfortable with TER pm than using my email adress.

Thanks.

Some providers don't have VIP access to TER mail, and if they've given an email address, that's the one to use.

If you're fearful of giving out an email address that your family or boss can look at (and you should be), sign up for any of the free ones...yahoo, hotmail, gmail, etc.  When you set them up, you could put your name in as goldenbear, instead of John Smith, if the additional privacy matters.  You'll still need to give the lady your real name, but she'll understand your concern for privacy.

Phil's advice is right on.  Also, you need to get a separate hobby phone with a pay as you go plan like virgin mobile or tracphone.  Leave no trace.

and I check it daily, sometimes multiple times. I do check my pms on occasion, but TER is more entertainment during my off hours. While it is also a legitimate business tool, I expect appointment requests to be sent to my business account, and that's where I look for them. If someone pms me, I usually respond (may take me a bit longer than by email) and request that the client fill out my contact form and/or email me at my business address with the required info. From there on out, the exchange occurs via email. Otherwise it gets confusing. Just my approach.
