Not a problem but haven't heard back from her yet.

you have an appointment but an hour beforehand you find out about a family emergency and rush from work to the hospital. During this moment of confusion, panic and worry you forget to notify the lovely lady you're to meet, and later you check your email to find out you're going to be blacklisted for missing the appointment?  I did explain the situation, but haven't gotten a response back yet.

Not much to do at the ICU right now since the family member is undergoing cryotherapy now for the next 48 hours, it's a sit and wait game, so I thought I'd write this

Did you mention that yet?

) How to get the compensation to her?  Does she have a reloadable card or whatever? Smart people on the Board can assist you with ideas on that.

2) Giving her cash in person would be the easiest. BUT, because she has not contacted you, that might not be an option. She: a) might be justifiably upset because of something left out of the story as you told it--so, I doubt she'll get back to you if so, or b) might be upset because she is simply upset. If she hasn't gotten back to you, that silence is a bad sign (unless SHE has had a life emergency and is off the grid.)

I imagine ladies have heard, "I'll pay you for the cancellation," and have been subsequently uncompensated. Unless you two have a history of sorts, my guess is that these overtures are viewed as weak sauce.

Good luck...and prayers for your family member

Quit TER and stop seeing hookers.  If I had a family emergency and it was touch and go with a family member, the very last thing I would be concerned with is some hooker I stiffed.  If the situation was reversed, do you really think she would be obsessing about contacting you to reschedule.  Get a freakin life!

It's where they lower the body temperature to prevent more brain damage than what already happened while he was without oxygen.

1. Do u have a history of cancelations with her?

2.  An email that she going to blacklist you before she knows why seems alittle extreme on her part.

3. Do you have a history of cancelations with her?

4.  Now that she knows what happened, I don't think she will blacklist you.

5. As for compensation, we all should have compassion for those that have family emergencies.  Things do happen.  In your case I would feel obligated to compensate her since you didn't take ten seconds of the hour before your appointment to send her a text of what was going on.  The recieving end of a "no-show" piss off most gents and ladies alike.
