The source of the sexual risks chart is the blog of renowned sex columnist Violet Blue. Thanks for asking for the source, credit should be given where it is due.

Violet Blue is not a researcher involved in epidemiology or a Doctor in clinical practice. The chart appears to include every conceivable problem that could happen but sites no sources that give the actual odds of it happening. Many such charts rely on outdated information and/or contain information that is not consistent with clinical practice.

That is why I printed the URLs for Medhelp.

http://www.medhelp.org/

H. Hunter Handsfield, M.D. and many other physicians there have decades of clinical practice under their belt. Charts should be based on real world clinical practice of what is happening not theories of what could happen.

okay,

we all know a bbbj can be fantastic, and frankly feel better than being in other places...

I realize there are risks with that.  Anyone know of anybody getting anything from this? Of course, how would you know what caused it?  I could really get into the Asian Apt. Massage P. experience.  And there are so many cute girls to choose from.

thoughts?

Believe me, when I have a chance, I inspect "down there" to see if anything shows up on a visual inspection

Everybody has an opinion, and who cares?  Do some web research.  TL;dr: You CAN get various (mostly curable) STDs from BBBJ. But it's fairly uncommon. If you're worried, go all covered. I take the (really slight) risk on BBBJs as do most guys, but it's still a non-zero risk.  Do what you're comfortable with given your circumstances.

It would have taken me a long time to find some of that information posted.  I had googled , and did get some info...

thanks for the replies everyone

Nothing is perfectly safe but based on  doctors involved in clinical practice your chances in getting a serious disease from oral sex are remote.

Oral sex can usually be considered safe sex. There is a low risk for all STDs and virtually zero risk for some of them.  This has been discussed previously; please read the questions and replies in the threads linked below.

How risky is it to get a bbbj from a pro? I wish I had an answer for you that is research-based. I don't. There is no research that answers your question. I recommend that you contact St. James Infirmary in SF. This is a health clinic for sex workers. They might have some info for you

no Disease can survive in your stomach acid, so I started swallowing lol

Biggest risk in terms of likelihood is getting gonorrhea from someone that has pharyngeal gonorrhea.  Next most likely is getting herpes type 1 from someone shedding virus orally who has HSV1.  Most other studs are extremely low risk from BBBJ for the receiver.
