and they are open till 4am on Saturday's - Yummy Yummy I love eating dongs

I'll be visiting DC at the end of August, would like have dinner out at a good restaurant.  I love all types of food, but looking for place that would be fun.  Think opposite of the Old Ebbitt Grill, I've been there too many times.  Suggestions

Zatinya (Greek/Turkish), Oyamel (Mexican) and Jaleo (Spanish tapas) - can't go wrong and these are all "fun" places too. A bit out of my budget but I have been to all three and really liked them. The margaritas at Oyamel were really different. They had this kind of foamy top. Delicious!

If it were me, and it was dinner, maybe Marrakech? I have never been to Marrakech and have always wanted to. It has Moroccan food and belly dancers. Does it get more fun than belly dancers? :) Does it get any less Ebbitt Grill (not that there is anything wrong with that, love the Clyde's restaurants)

If you get out to the burbs, there is some amazing Indian (Haandi), Thai (Rabieng), and Vietnamese (Huong Viet) food out here, also I really like Coastal Flats

I need Korean food ugh!!!! Nothing in the city? I yelped & it just shows a food truck on 12th by metro center redline... Is there any in the city??? Ugh 😩😩😩😩😩😩

I mean authentic Korean!!!!

But you have to come out here to Annandale

Majority of the Korean Restaurants are in Annandale, Virginia. It is the little Seoul of the DC area. Another growing Korean enclave is in Centreville, but that is a far drive if you are in the city.

But I saw Mandu was recommended, that's a good choice.
If you like Ramen, some of the ramen places in DC add Korean flavors to their Ramen like Toki Underground and Sakuramen (has a Chosun Ramen bowl loaded with bulgoki and kimchi).

Dang, I thought the ISO was for ladies...but, hey, everyone has to eat.

Anyone free for Korean lunch or dinner?

what kind of korean do you like? BBQ, noodles? soup?

Roses luxury is hot right now, but they don't take reservations and the wait for a table is about 3 hours unless you're Pres Obama.

For seafood, Black Salt; for Japanese Makoto, but both are on Macarthur Boulevard and you'd need a car or taxi.

Wide range of good to excellent restaurants within walking distance of Dupont Circle, including big name steak houses.

Reasonable French restaurant in Georgetown is La Chaumiere on M Street.  Has the feel of an upscale neighborhood restaurant but lots of power players eat there.  It's very good.

Tons of others, including the 'burbs, esp for Asian food

Indian - Rasika
Fusion- Zengo
Seafood- Marcels
Steakhouse- I like Bobby Vans

But apparently everyone in DC knows it! I highly suggest making a reservation.

try Circa at Foggy Bottom, great food, and drinks.

3 were the following.

"Noras" and "West End Bistro" is in DC.

"The Inn at Little Washington" is in Washington Virginia. One of the top restaurants in the US to dine at. Had a limo take me and my date there since it would be a 2 hour drive. Also it would be dark when we were done and I did not want to drive after have many glasses of wine. I would not find my way back.

What a list, thank you all!!!

Will certainly need to head down to DC more often.  Appreciate all the suggestions

not a misprint re Jack Rose. Unbelievable selection of whiskey. Plus, after dinner, one can walk up the street to Columbia Station and hear some good jazz. The service there is, well, low-key. But, they have good martinis, and really good jazz.

Fogo de Chao has so many different cuts of meat that come to your table. (Bring you own amaro...lol. But, they do have limoncello, which helps.) Nice wine list, too
