when you PM a girl to verify you are who you say you are its not only so she knows your a safe person to see with a strong review history but its so that no one can say ... "Hey Im Jazz from the TER Newbies board lets dance" when in reality hes some scary mean guy who likes to torture small animals and children.

people try to steal legit hobbyist identities all the time. sometimes its just because they don't have a review history, sometimes its because they want you to talk to your loved ones from behind a piece of glass.

so you may want to protect yourself form a provider who's upset about a bad review but the benefits out weigh the detractors on this one.
