They thought it was all a crazy clown show, but with monkey inflation and starving in the streets they bought the nonsense. The result was something they had had no experience to even compare it to. I honestly feel that the forces fueling and driving the right-wing movement is just as dangerous. It isn't a question if right-wing politics is better than left-wing politics. That's a valid topic for discussion, but this is about the people who are involved in a struggle that holds neither ideology as particularly sacred. It's about who's big and who's little. And it's about something very destructive. This time around the threat happens to be coming from the right. And the only historical reference we have that even comes close to understanding what's happening is indeed Nazi Germany and the Third Reich.

Sorry if it reflects poorly on the glorification of privatization or capitalism or corporatism or whatever you hold dear, but that's where the cancer is embedded. It's like if someone was fighting liver cancer and you piped up with, "Whst have you got against the liver?! What about the kidneys?! Aren't they just as bad?!"
