I'm going to try to make this short as possible: my ex is trying to use my website and information to take our children away. He has been convicted in the past for domestic violence and is on probation for that. Because I had no lawyer during our trial, he asked for, and got, custody of our children. He has tried to get passports for them, which I refused to sign for. He is currently trying to get the court in our home country to overrule the immigration laws here to get passports for them, and is using my website and info to do this. My face isn't visible on the website. My question: I am in Oregon, would any info he got about me via spyware be admissable? I have changed my name, and hid for two months. I have a new computer and am working again, I have to. Anybody know a GOOD lawyer in the northwest? anyhelp would be much appreciated- thanks AA
I would be more concerned about the custoday and your children..If you husband was convicted of deometic violence..then how did he get custody of the children..I think there may be more than this..and you question about the web site..is yes..it go to the character..even without your picture.
Courts are in favor of what is the best interest of the children ..not the parents..

I agree Law Doctor. This is a case of a lying client. Lawyers know ot happens all the time. It probably surprises non-lawyers but people ddolie. (When I worked for the DA our definition of a witness was: " A person who lies."
That she had nolawyer at trial is NOT a reason for failing to gain custody. I don't believe the story.
