I agree with the Goddess, Naxy! No reason to out the provider.

Unless, maybe, you come up positive on your STD tests. She offered something very special, however dangerous it is deemed in todays virus worried world. But if you're smart you'll require current tests from the provider before going there again. But, sorry, I never practise what I preach. I'm a puppet for God's sake.

I went to see a well reviewed provider at an agency several weeks ago.  It was my first time with this provider, but not the first time with the agency.  Somehow the action got too intense for me to think straight and we wound up having unprotected vaginal intercourse (she took the lead).  It was undeniably stupid on my part and I'm not trying to pass on the responsibility.  I didn't plan for it to happen and I'm not planning on ever doing it again.
Since I can't go back and change what happened, what is my best course of action now?  I know that I should take a test eventually, but the last time I got tested (the result was negative) I was told that you should get tested 6 months after unprotected sex.

If your doctor said to get tested six months after unprotected sex, then I wouuld follow that advice.  Be sure to use condoms until you know you're negative.

I do wonder what LG has to say about what to tell your SO, if you don't normally use protection with her and whether or not you should tell the agency owner.  Inquiring minds would like to know . . .

My response to naxy and Kate,

Quite frankly, I wouldn't wait six months. I think it would be a very good mental palliative and allay your anxieties to get tested NOW. The six month rule basically applies to HIV, but not to chlamydia, gonorrhea, HPV, etc. So yes, get tested now AND in six months.

As to what you should tell your SO [there isn't one mentioned in your post,] that depends on what the results are. Obviously, if you come back with something positive, you will have to come clean about your extracurricular activity. If they are negative, and you are pursuing this hobby without your SO's knowledge, then I can't tell you what to do. Particularly since you haven't asked for advice on how to approach that subject.

Watch out for that heat of the moment, folks,

It used to take 6 months for the testing to be accurate when the Elissa test was used. But now that a newer PCR/DNA test is standard (at least for the adult industry) results can be discovered fast...(though I'm no doc). As the Love Goddess has stated before, you'll know rather fast if you have Gonnerhea, and it could take 1-2 weeks for Chlymidia to rear it's ugly head. If you have an SO, go get checked NOW (and why not put to rest the fears). I suggest AIM (aim-med.org) where you can get the full body of testing and even the meds if you need them. Call them for non-industry rates.

I don't have a SO, that's not a big issue for me.  I'll get tested next week.

I was thinking about whether or not I should out the provider, but she seemed nice and none of the other reviews mentioned this.  We didn't talk about it afterwards, so I can't tell if it was just as much an issue for her as it was for me.

Dear naxy,
I don't think it's a nice thing to out the provider. She wasn't doing this to hurt or punish you. Quite the opposite: she got carried away in the heat of the moment, and let her professional expertise slip. It happens. Please forgive her and go on. I am sure she is just as horrified as you are.

Play safe AND nice,
the Love Goddess
