Not because the GOP is any more sympathetic to the issue than the Dems,  except possibly Trump because he is not a "real" Republican, but because prostitution, except for this ridiculous campaign against "human trafficking" is not going to be legalized at the federal level any more than pot was.

The GOP is much more likely to call this a "states issue" and get the hell out of the way than the Dems, the Dems led by Hillary would almost certainly want to "protect women from themselves" and the bogus trafficking issue, to use your own words.

Would either of them lift a finger to do anything positive about ridiculous laws "protecting" consenting adults from themselves? Hell fucking no, but the process is "slightly" more likely to happen under Trump as he would be less likely to stand in the way. He most certainly won't be leading the charge, but I doubt he would make a "federal issue" out of it the way Obama has come down firmly against legalized pot.

IF prostitution is ever going to get legalized in this country, it's going to have to start at the state/local level, not the federal level. I think the gradual legalization of marijuana is most likely the template we would follow, which unfortunately would lead to the Nevada model of legalization which is the worst template available.
