I still think this particular instance is flaky...

Stuff happens; I get it.  However there's always time to send a text or whatever BEFORE the time. Yes a last minute cancellation sucks - but it beats radio silence by a mile.  I can forgive a last minute cancel (and I have) but nothing for a few hours???

If you add that to the loosey goosey way it was "scheduled" - just sounds like someone who's a flake.  And there are folks like you around who aren't flakes.  So why mess with it?

Ginger- I know the way you run your affairs;  you would never be that disorganized.  If something happened- you would call or something before the time.  You are very conscientious about communicating.

I would move on.  Life is just too  short to deal with people who don't have their act together when there are alternatives.

I had an appointment scheduled for yesterday morning and was very excited to meet the provider for the first time.  However, she never provided me with an address and didn't reply to my text in the morning so I figured it must have been canceled.  I received a message from her later in the day saying she had a family emergency to take care of and she sincerely apologized.  I want to see her, but I am also a little nervous now considering what has happened over the past couple of months.  Would you all give her a 2nd chance?

To my mind - a matter of what you want to put up with.  I have no idea what your toleration for that is.

I doubt it's a security issue.    I understand stuff happens - but not communicating is inexcusable - and to me - a sign that she's a flake.   I don't trade with flaky people.   Life is just too short.   I sincerely doubt that her attentiveness to detail is going to improve.  Time to move on.

I wouldn't call her - But that's just me...

if she was someone I really wanted to see sure.  Just know she will
always have time issues...late or no show.

Just how she was made.

You stated she sincerely apologise

I don't see any reason why you wouldn't.  Contrary to what others have said I don't see any reason to even consider her " flaky " or having time management issues. She contacted you the same day and apologized.

Contrary to what seems to be the popular belief that providers are just waiting for "action", most providers do not just lay around all day in lingerie, with their makeup done, waiting for the next "dick" to stop by. They have lives and families and sometimes the unexpected happens.

Now with that said repeated events like this can be considered "flaky" and then you have to deside if you want to continue.

Of course if you stick your hand to a hot-plate and it burns the hell out of you, do you really need to do it again just to see if its hot?

No I don't.
I also don't need to make a life lesson out of a single missed appointment.

Thanks for stirring.

She could have had a legitimate family emergency, however if she really wants to make it up to you she will offer you some kind of discount added time or monetary.

Your reviews span a dozen years, so this isn't your first rodeo.  Is she just the next one on your list or "gotta do her or I'll die?"  Unexpected stuff happens, and it may be a one-off.  On the other hand, the odds just went way up that she's a flake.  Your choice - what's your pain tolerance to find out?

But I've had two providers, both 10's, who did this. I guess they figure the guys will put up with it. Whether the guy does depends upon how bad he wants to see that 10. Then there's the question of whether she's really a 10.

I no longer live in Atlanta but it is probably the best of the closer options for me - but still about a 5-6 hour drive that I do not do often any longer.  So a late cancellation on a tightly scheduled trip is a major problem for me.  I would consider a 2nd chance on future trip if she offered to help me out - if I wanted the help - with a few phone calls to other providers she might know to get me in somewhere if I was still in the mood.  I understand stuff happens - but if you are traveling, have made plans well in advance and don't have much flexibility, a  little help can go a long way towards smoothing things over.

That is actually just "good customer service" for any business, and the business lost is more likely than not going to come back one day because the customer remembers the good service and not necessarily the disappointment.

Considering many have families that don't know they do this, you really don't know what kind of situation she was involved in. If she truly had an emergency, trying to slip away may have raised heads. Just as many of you with wives who question your moves and why your leaving the house in the middle of the day on a weekend and your having to come up with an excuse, providers go through the same thing. And you don't want to ever leave the impression in someone's mind that your slipping away to make a call, send a text or an email and leave them feeling like your cheating. So yes, give her a another chance. Since you really don't know, be considerate and make sure she is ok. Rebook and if it happens again, then you can decide if she's someone you really want to pursue.

Family emergencies do happen.  Like a lot.  Either you believe her or you don't, but the idea that this could be some elaborate pretense related to the events of the last couple months is ridiculous.

Sometimes you motherfuckers act like you're in the same league as narco traffickers.

Yeah, it's not like we're Assist District Attorneys or anything. They don't get arrested for solicitation. Oh wait....

Go ahead. You may even get to meet her Uncle Leo at the same time.
