I guess the GOP never learn from their own stupidity.
The people in their states suffer for it.

The amount states have to pay for Medicaid WITHOUT expansion is a huge part of the state’s budget. Starting this year, states who do expand have to pay  even more - an increasing portion of the cost until it reaches 10% in 2020. That is 10% of tens of millions of dollars, if not more.

Where do you think that money will come from? The states who expand will have to raise taxes.  Watch what happens in California in 2020 where the state already can’t balance its budget without accounting tricks. While the Obama admin claims that expanded Medicaid will somehow offset some of the healthcare costs states would otherwise have to pay, this is pure speculation. Given the Obama admin track record in predicting how the ACA would work in the marketplace, you can hardly blame the states for not buying this.

Sure, expanded Medicaid is better for the “rich” poor who get free taxpayer paid healthcare, but it is not so good for the taxpayers who  must pay for it. Before you go calling the leaders of these states “stupid,” perhaps you should try to understand WHY these states have rejected the free federal money that comes with expanded Medicaid
