I'm sure you can easily find some friendly fire incident, trace it up the chain of command and off you go. You'd have a parade of high profile powerful lawyers eager to take up the cause.  

For God's sake I bet it wouldn't be hard to prove that the whole war was started under false pretenses and then everybody and anybody who fell victim to it (like lost his/her job) would be in on the law suit. You think we've got budget deficit now? lol
