But a guy i know said he couldn't get on either yesterday
I've never experienced it being down that long. My laptop and Kindle kept saying server not found.
I know others in my area had the same issue.
Anybody else?
Just routine maintenance or could it be a trap?
Its over boys, the sky is DEFINITELY falling!
Pedophiles, degenerates, depraved predators and all sorts of sexual deviants would answer
ads / posts for sex, show up to the place where they were filmed, briefly interviewed
then told they were free to go. Only to be taken down and given a wood shampoo as they
tried to flee?
Its over boys, the sky is DEFINITELY falling!
Even though you made a bunch of mocking posts about it beforehand
Drop the alias when you're really sure the danger is past. Meanwhile, drop the above it all routine please
...but that usually only involves a few hours. I e-mailed admin and it came back undeliverable. I used different browsers and was in different geographical areas around the city. Discussion on the GD board says TER Twitter said they would doing maintenance/updates.

On the general board, a TER admin said it's because of maintenance for some new beta release of TER. I've been unable to access TER for a couple days now through Comcast. I'm only able to access it now by using VPN.
The error I'm getting says that www.theeroticreview.com is unknown/can't be resolved to a IP. This is strange since with using VPN it finds www.theeroticreview.com just fine. I'm not sure what to think...

I've never seen this site completely inaccessible for so long either. Also noticed the last holdout of the agency websites just went offline today too. Oh well, glad we're back up and running, however fleeting it may be.
I hope if it is routine maintenance causing this, that they are making it more secure.

As of right now TER still doesn't work on Comcast for me, so I changed DNS settings to google's DNS sever and it started working again. What I think (I only have limited knowledge of how DNS servers work, so correct me if I am wrong ) is that the DNS cache on some of the Comcast's servers expired when TER was actually down so Comcast's sever couldn't fetch the IP address of TER. Now hopefully the server will update soon. It works through VPN or other ISPs because on their DNS servers a record TER still exists.
Most likely correct.
Comcast's DNS servers suck anyway and I long ago set Google's public server at 8.8.8.8 statically as my primary DNS with the main Comcast one as secondary. I have far fewer problems with DNS resolution now.
This makes sense. I have comcast at home and can't get to TER on my phone via wifi. If I cut wifi off it goes thru.
I experienced no problem .............. ???!!!
I know others in my area had the same issue.

...it seems as though Comcast isn't hobby friendly lol! I had no problems with AT&T

But a guy i know said he couldn't get on either yesterday
I used several browsers throughout the day, including TOR, and nothing worked. I was on and off trying, every so many hours but everyone else is saying the site was down (server) for pretty much 36 hours.
I needed to check somethings for the Hobby, so it was a huge pain. It wouldn't be a big deal if it was the boards/posting reviews/or looking up reviews. It is quite another when I got to screen someone and also check my pms. I can't get mad about it, and I am not, but it was a huge pain in the ass.
I thought to myself "Oh shit, did I get banned from TER"?
I was thinking more of not being allowed on the Boards, rather than banning. My link goes straight to the boards.
Then I thought "I haven't done anything!"
Took me a few seconds to process lol.
(I have never done anything to get banned. Now... hm.... I had a few times over the years where I thought I'd get Posting Privileges taken for a little while. Never happened though)
I know others in my area had the same issue.

I tried the other day to log in to TER no luck the tried P411 no luck then Backpage no luck. I could get on Google Amazon etc. Called another provider to see if it was just me but to no avail she too couldn't log into TER or Backpage but P 411 came up. About an hour later Backpage came up gut took almost 36 hours to get onto TER
Yes, TER was down... I was unable to access TER from late Sunday night thru Tuesday morning. I actually wondered if TER had been busted by LE. (That's not so farfetched these days!)
Some people had no problems getting in. Others the entry was gone from the ISP DNS. I had to use the tor browser to access the site.
I never saw any problems..... Except phone towers under repair in my area. But as soon as I got back to wi-fi connection, all was fine!
