Washington DC

Good luck on finding street parking. Taking the cost of parking into account, taxi is cheaper. eom

I will be there for a business conference; which may hamper my hobbying fun since the Marriott Wardman is where the meetings will be held with hundreds of colleagues around.

This is my first visit to DC, so I am not familiar with the hotels, traffic, neighborhoods etc... so I need advice on the quality of the hotels and travel problems (if any) to the Marriott from the other hotel choices. I am not sure if my procedure would be the same as when I hobby in Las Vegas, so I also need the best advice for getting ladies to my room without drawing suspicion from my colleagues.

A. Marriott Wardman Park

B. Omni Shoreham Hotel

c. Hotel Palomar

I need to figure this out before I start sending request to fill my dance card to the lovely ladies of DC and any touring ladies

I sent you a PM.

The Omni is basically 1 block from the Marriott.  The Palomar is 1 Metro stop away, plus a few blocks of walking.  Travel time is about 15 mins.

Do you have any favorite chains, other features, etc. in mind?

I appreciate the travel distance info. I don't take into consideration what the hotel chain is, I just wanted something close, but not too close to the conference hotel.

post this type of information (names) on a public site.. just my opinion.

names of the hotels I am thinking about staying at to get opinions about them, besides if it was not acceptable TER would not have posted it. There is nothing wrong about posting names of hotels been doing that for awhile on other city boards. They typically don't want names of agencies, websites and other "businesses" that serve our adult needs and wants posted.

I've usually elected to stay at a hotel a mile or so from the conference hotel and relied on cabs.
Compared to LV catching a cab in DC is pretty easy and not all that expensive. Especially from hotel to hotel. Actually the futher away from the conference the more comfortable I was to share a drink or meal in public if a lady was so inclined.

You'll have plenty of great choices in DC. Hotels & sexy companionship.

Sent you a PM with additional insights.

Enjoy DC !

The concern I had was the taxi costs with rides back and forth couple of times a day, including dining out. Most people I spoke to suggested I don't get a rental car because they say the traffic is really terrible, but I usually rent a car because I like to drive the city I visit; also it gives me the freedom of getting where I want without waiting for a cab.

You will pay far more for a rental car than cabs & metro. Plus traffic is a huge issue and parking is hard to come by.....and when you do it ain't cheap.

If you are wanting to see some of the tourist attraction is DC [ which I recommend] the metro system [ DCs subway] and taxi's  will serve you well. If you want to hit a few restaurants and enjoy the nightlife you really do want to use cabs which are aplenty..

BTW , there is lot's to do and see plus ample restaurants and bars walking distance from your conference hotel and the ones you've mentioned.

That is good to know. I will pass on the rental car and look at their metro maps for traveling. Good to know the metro goes to tourist sites and restaurants.

That end of Conn Ave. is a mess -- hardly a good meal other than the Thai joint.

Go one stop -- 8 blocks -- north on Conn Ave to find better dining option. Ardeo, Indique, etc.

I used to live just 3 blocks from that strip and never had to go downtown to find good food
