Implementing a personal Discretion List (individuals can share it with others if they like),which is kind of similar to the negative Black Lists that providers use to punish hobbyists,but to help manage note tracking for who you want to see or avoid. For instance,a provider reneges after taking payment up front. After reading such bad practice,it can be entered into a discretion list so it can be used later to determine who should be seen or not. Most who venture here already know I am African American,so a specific instance for me is that it is a managing nightmare to keep track of who wants to see me or not due to being AA. This keeps me from writing it down or storing it on my own equipment. So,is this a good idea?Do I deserve to have tomatoes thrown at me?Thank you for listening.

...are available, depending on the degree of privacy you desire. I personally have started storing this kind of information in Google Docs, tied to an alternate email account. I need to be logged into that email to access it, otherwise, it's inaccessible (except perhaps to some nerds at Google, who are less of a concern to me than my S.O.).

I don't think the blacklists that providers have are meant to "punish" hobbyists. They're meant to keep woman safe and avoid undesirable situations. TER has a section call "Rip-Offs" which is the equivalent of a blacklist for hobbyists.
Unfortunately the Blacklist has been corrupted by vindictive , out of control and unprofessional providers who do use it to "punish" hobbyists whom they have not seen but Simply disagree with their TER posts .
B310 was recently put on the list by for ten third time by an OC provider who shall remain nameless for posting an April Fools Day joke. He has two other entries by an out of control SAA who went on a Blacklisting binge and put him , me and a bunch of TERers on the list because she did not like our posts.
Totally ridiculous and makes a mockery to what is supposed to be a vehicle to keep working girls safe and secure from proven predators or jerks.
Other providers use the BL to blackball reviewers who do not give them scores of 8 or over.
I am not sure how effective the BL is because the recently disgraced Fidcuof seemed to be active with home grown even after he was BLed for alleged fake reviews. If his claims to seeing K-dolls are to be believed it also appears that the K-bookers pay no attention to the BL.
We do need an independent home where hobbyists can out and report unscrupulous providers .
The blacklists are not "meant" to punish hobbyists. They are "meant" to keep providers safe. However in reality, they are used to punish hobbyists, by some unscrupulous and vindicative providers. As harp mentioned, men have been put on blacklists for something as trivial as writing TER posts that someone doesn't agree with. They are also put on there for writing less than favorable reviews, for "timewasting" and other such minimal "offenses" The blacklists were meant for things such as thieves, rapists, and physical abusers, but they have become a joke. People are "outed" there for silly things, and the site becomes useless for actually "protecting' ladies from real scum.

True. And it makes me cringe to see some of the reasons why providers put some clients on the BL. I can name three providers here that have abused the system just because they did not agree to what people were saying on the boards. How DUMB is that.
They are compromising their own safety unfortunately.
Let that be a lesson to the smarter ladies out there that actually use the NBL for it's purpose.
It makes me laugh that I am on there because I have never seen the three ladies in question who put it up and yet they solely put me on there because of me calling them out on TER...how sad..and dumb is that.

Just kidding. You are just thowing out an idea and asking for opinions. Here is a suggestion: Use your personal "favorites" folder. Just because it says "favorites" doesn't mean you have to like the ladies you put in there. It is just a list for you to keep track of certain ladies. There is a comments box for each favorite, that you can input your reasons for putting them there. It won't allow the sharing of information with other members, but it will solve your issue of writing and storing it on your own computer. As for a provider who renages after taking payment up front, that is called ripoff, and there is a place for that in reviews.
Another suggestion: If you really feel TER should implement some kind of tracking list, then suggest it on the S&P board instead of the regional board.
I did think of the favorites folder; but, if it only had an extra feature such as selecting a check box that allows me to share with other hobbyists (maybe not any hobbyist, for example, only hobbyists that are allowed on the 'reviewers only' board). That way I can see notes from other hobbyists and I can use my own discretion to see a provider. Reviews are not enough to remove special hurdles.
I mentioned that it will not be a tool you can use to share information with others. However, it is a tool you can use to keep your own personal "do not see" list, without keeping it on your personal computer.
It is also why I made my other suggestion of taking this to the S&P board. Most suggestions there do not make it into policy, but some do. And it is where policy suggestions belong. Good Luck.
