Yea I'll go with Sailor on this one.

Interesting take on the whole debaucle.

I would never have thought of Whitlock's sexism angle, and I'm not sure I want to embrace it fully, but on first read, it makes some sense.

Also, who else but Whitlock would use the word "head" to describe a part of the anatomy that resides below the belt?

As hobbyists, we think with the little head way to much some times.

There have been several calls for the death penalty for the football program, a move which I'm not in favor of. I don't think the current players and coaching staff should be penalized for the transgressions of university leaders. I do feel that any player who wishes to leave Penn State to distance himself from the situation should be allowed to transfer to another D-1 school without having to sit out a year.  In my opinion, by his failure to act when he had the opportunity, Paterno's reputation and "legacy" have been permanently tarnished. His statue should be removed and sold for scrap.

I must disagree on that.

First as we all agree that there is nothing more vile, disgusting or more egregious than what Sandusky did, and the others are fucking scumbag for not reporting it and letting him get away with it for as long as he did and they too should be punished with prison time.

However I do  have a problem punishing the players, the student athletes, who have nothing at all to do with the situation. Just does not seem right that they be collateral damage in this mess..

I do not know the answer but I do hope that there is a solution so the guilty are severely punished and the innocent can move on with no more than a few bumps and bruises.

What sailor said was good about letting them transfer without missing anything, but transferring can be a huge pain I the ass too. Such as finding a school that offers the same major, location , and since penn is a state school cost and many other things  I’m sure one consider when transferring.

Thank you

ugh. it hurts my heart to agree with you followme. but i must. punishing these 20 year old guys and the coaching staff and the students and fans for what a perv did is just moronic. they had nothing to do with what he did. they didnt cheat on the field, they didnt cheat off the field. you cannot give the program the death penalty for having a freakin creep on the coaching staff. if that was the case, the packers should give back their most recent super bowl trophy because the offensive coordinators son was a convicted rapist.

i would still blame the man who did it, not the whole football program/school/community. two wrongs dont make a right my friend

there is NOTHING right about punishing 20 years olds for what some old farts did. nothing right about punishing the community, the professers, the students...how about next time a big business has an employee steal money, we give the whole company the "death penalty" and punish all of the hard working middle class families that will now have 1 less income. its stupid, and anyone who suggests we punish those that did nothing wrong, is also stupid

yeah i do. he molested some little boys. an low level assisstant caught him in some way, shape, or form. he told joe pa. joe told the university pres. at some point, the chain got broken and the proper actions were not taken.

that does not mean you shut down a program full of people that didnt have dick to do with it. that is retarded. maybe its worse than stealing money, but its the same concept. you dont fucking punish innocent fucking people.

He did more than molest kids, he RAPED kids using PSU's facilities!

When the first incident was reported in 1998, PSU knew about it, and they turned a blind eye, and continued to allow Sandusky to use the facilities on campus. They didn't take his keys away, and gave him full access to on campus showers.

Why did they do that?????.....

BECAUSE the stupid school was worried about this getting out and ruining the schools image and hurting the football program, so for that, PSU needs to be held accountable. And you bring up not hurting the "innocent people"? Those are the same people who still stand by JoePa and believe he did nothing wrong.

I'm done, we obviously have different views on this. That's fine, we're both entitled to our opinions.

In the mean time, why don't you go help OJ find the real killer :D

thats exactly what i said. molesting, rape...same idea. and i said they knew. and that they didnt do the right thing. but the students, the alumni, the athletes, the boosters, the professors, the low level coaches....didnt do anything wrong. they just didnt. you cant punish everyone who loves penn state football for what some people that are no longer there did. its just the typical american reaction to want to burn the school to the ground ( forget all the good that school has done over the years, the quality humans that work there/attend school there...only sandusky matters ) and pretend like its justified. i hope you have NEVER held a secret, one that you knew someone did something wrong and you didnt make sure they were properly punished ( or overly punished as in this cased)....i would hate to know the person that feels so strongly is a hypocrite

the fact that you even made the comparison shows you have no clue or concept.

As for your comments on the NCAA you again demonstrate you have no clue

And me going out of my way……you little boy are the one who PM’d me, and regarding that PM and the tone of it (since this is the sports board)  let me just say unlike you I am NOT now, NEVER have been and NEVER will be a switch hitter. You no doubt want to play for the other team I suggest you go to the TS board dug out, perhaps over there you can find someone who will throw you a back-door slider.

Now go ahead and put your misguided and dishonest spin on it.

State Penn.

After yesterday’s investigation report by the former FBI director was made public, there is talk that others could be criminally charged also.

Also I agree with all Sailor said.
